Wendy Wood :-

was inspired to write her first song after her daughter Cassie was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 1991.

At the time, Wendy was the wife of an interstate truck driver, based in Stokers Siding NSW, near Murwillumbah with 3 year old Son Jarred and her new baby girl.

Writing songs became Wendy's solace, an outlet to cope with the situation she found herself in, and an avenue for her to explore her hopes and dreams for the future.

"I'd always listened to country music on the radio - it had always been a part of my life, so music was what I turned to when I needed it after Cass was diagnosed. My writing was something for me that nobody could take away from me" she said.

Since the release of her debut album "Enchanted Wood" in October 2013,

things have really taken off.

2014, Wendy WON the Nashville Universe Songwriter of the Year for 2014 quickly followed by Songsalive Australia Songwriter Of The Year the same year

Wendy's songs have been receiving airplay through community radio stations in Australia and have also been played on online radio stations including VRadio Nashville where her songs have been on the top 40 most requested songs chart since October 2013. Including her first number # 1 ranking with her song "Fairy Tale". She has since had two more #1 songs on VRadio Nashville.

Now being played on numerous station worldwide including Southern Country Radio Nashville and Hamilton Radio New Jersey

In 2016, She was again nominated for the Nashville Universe Songwriter Of the Year.

In November 2016, Wendy released her much awaited second album "Life And Breath" which was again recorded at Enrec Studios in Tamworth NSW
